Also for the link, Heidi. I had originally thought of the creativity group as an old-fashioned in-person get-together (and I will still be pursuing this). But you three are inspiring me to think of a digital version. Any ideas on how and where we could do this? Maybe it would be a self-sustaining creativity MOOC? Maybe a gathering on Google Hangout with different hosts? Thoughts?

My friend, a teacher I work with, just came to me this morning and said, “Have you ever heard of a Vision Board?” So, we are having our students create their own. It fits in beautifully with what we are doing at our whole school convocation for Martin Luther King Jr.
I was able to relax and reflect a lot over this holiday break and really was inspired by a couple of TedEd Talks. I have been furiously trying to find the link to one of them about looking at your health holistically. It was a woman who is an M.D. and changed her entire practice and focus of her work after two weeks of incredibly bad experiences in her personal life. Anyway, cannot remember her name! Let me know if you know it.
I would love, love, love to join your exploring creativity group!

I knew from almost the first time I read your stuff that we were kindred spirits. If I ever doubted that, this piece of writing would have utterly confirmed it. You had me from minute one. I’m a little “verklempt” here, because you really nailed a number of things that I find extremely important in my life, and when I forget those things, I suffer. I’m taking great joy at the moment from wearing a hat I not only knitted, but spun the wool – nobody else knows that – but I do, and it’s amazing how it makes me feel. Faith is tied up in here for me, too – I often feel closest to God when I’m creating.
I’d love to be part of the project, if there’s room.
Thank you again for the amazingly soul-reinforcing read. I needed it today, as my government has just imposed a contract on me. Creativity is going to be key to finding joy, as it often is, for the next little while.

Thank you for writing such a thoughtful and inspiring posting!
I have been working over the winter holiday on a variety of projects that make some of my friends frown as they comment: ‘holidays are for enjoying not for working’.
I disagree with their view as the challenge and thrill to be creative makes these tasks joyful, meaningful and have added a lot to my ‘happiness-meter’.
Count me on for your creativity project.
